FESTIVAL POSTPONEMENT UPDATE

DUE TO COVID -19

Updated – June 1, 2021

The Oxnard Jazz Festival, originally scheduled to be held 12 September 2021, announces that it will be postponed, due to the ongoing limitations related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Although the spread of the virus is declining and we see the light at the end of the tunnel, we remain in a global pandemic, and the uncertainties that need to be resolved are impossible to undertake in the remaining time we have.  We’ve heard from many who don’t feel ready to come to the Oxnard Jazz Festival, and while we are confident in our ability to safeguard public health, we know that producing an event this size would put tremendous strain on our community.

With this announcement, the Oxnard Jazz Festival joins a number of other festivals that have decided to completely postpone a 2021 event, in lieu of trying to hold it later in the year.  So over the next few months the Oxnard Jazz Festival will focus on creating a bigger Jazz Festival, while helping support other events throughout Ventura County. For our 2022 Festival, we are planning:

  • Friday Night Jam Session

  • Entertainment on the Beach

  • Golf tournament

  • Two days of outstanding talent

  • Sunday Brunch

  • and much more

All pre-purchased tickets will automatically roll over to the 2022 festival year.  We hope you understand our decision to postpone the 2021 Festival.  We endeavor to bring you our biggest and best festival, celebrating our fifth year in producing this event

We extend our deepest sympathy to those who have suffered losses during this pandemic year and send our sincere condolences and wishes for your healing, wellness and safety.

Sincerely,

Chuck Dennis,

Chairman, Oxnard Jazz Festival
